-DNO_ASM will certainly work around it. But before you try that, can
you show the set of the compiler's predefines? Like this:
  $ touch empty.c
  $ gcc -m64 -E -dM empty.c | sort | uniq | grep -v FLT_ | grep -v DBL_
And this:
  $ grep define include/cln/config.h
(I'm suspecting a confusion between i386 and x86_64 at the preprocessor
level.)
