uhh, it did _not_ finish on my machine Pentium 4 3.2 GHz after more than 
an hour ... that is strange. I finally killed the process. When I 
examined a different run with a debugger it didn't look like it was 
caught in an infinite loop, though, but that was no systematic analysis.
