Is ncmul depreciated?

No, ncmul is not deprecated and will be needed.  The above simplification
is just the specified behaviour of ncmul::eval().  Looks like the rules in
<http://www.ginac.de/reference/ncmul_cpp-source.html#l00329> actually work.
